Dear Resident,
Operation Sceptre is a national, bi-annual UK police campaign dedicated to reducing knife crime through intense operational activity, education, and community engagement. It focuses on removing dangerous weapons from streets, targeting habitual carriers, and reducing access to knives. Key activities include weapon sweeps, surrender bins, and increased patrols.
A Knife amnesty/surrender bin will be in place at Uppermill Police Station. The front desk will be open on the following dates and times-
Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th May, 13:00-21:00hrs. Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th May, 08:00-14:00hrs.
